Officials described the project as part of a broader effort to restore and expand public education infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"645\" data-end=\"820\">\u201cThe land of the Somali National University is public property intended for community use, and it must be cleared to allow reconstruction,\u201d the minister said during the event.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"822\" data-end=\"1139\">University President <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Mohamed Mahmoud<\/span><\/span> also addressed the gathering, welcoming the start of the redevelopment and highlighting its significance for the institution\u2019s future.
