Mogadishu (Onkod Radio) \u2014<\/b>Justin Bieber has opened up about his health after cancelling two concerts in Toronto earlier this week.<\/p>\n
The pop superstar was scheduled to perform at the Scotiabank Arena in downtown Toronto on Tuesday and Wednesday but made the last-minute decision to postpone the shows due to what he described as a \u201csickness.\u201d<\/p>\n
On Friday, Bieber posted a video to Instagram saying that he has Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a virus that affects facial nerves.<\/p>\n
He said that half his face is paralyzed as a result.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs you can see, this eye is not blinking,\u201d he said on Instagram. \u201cI can\u2019t smile on this side of my face\u2026there\u2019s full paralysis in the centre of my face.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSo for those frustrated by my cancellations of the next shows, I\u2019m just physically, obviously, incapable of doing them.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said that his body is telling him to \u201cslow down\u201d and that he hopes fans understand.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is pretty serious as you can see. I wish this wasn\u2019t the case,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s time to just rest and relax and get back to 100 per cent, so that I can do what I was born to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
The artist says he is doing facial exercises to help with the paralysis, but he is unsure how long it will take for him to heal.<\/p>\n
Bieber\u2019s June 10 concert in Washington has also been cancelled. There are no other Canadian stops scheduled in his 2022 World Tour and it\u2019s unclear if any of his other future performances will be postponed.<\/p>\n
Scotiabank Arena has previously said that tickets for the cancelled Toronto shows would be honoured when the dates are rescheduled.<\/p>\n
